Welcome to our first blog for a while which we hope to blog on a more regular basis now the site is almost where we want it to be along with buying in mew stock regularly.
Firstly we would like to congratulate Steve Collins Jnr Son of the great Steve Collins winning his pro-debut over 4 rounds vS Stanislav Makarenkoopnts.
In the office we are also looking forward to a massive season in boxing starting in September with Floyd Mayweather
Jnr taking on Saul Alvarez, this looks to be an exciting fight with canelo trying to walk him down and catch him while Floyd does what he does best and tries not to get hit,the general consensus in the office is for Mayweather to take another points victory in atough encounter,i tend to go with that although the image of Mayweather clinging to the waist of an aging Shane Mosley in the 2nd sticks in the head and makes you wonder if canelo catches him a few good ones then his 0 could go.
After that we have the big British Domestic Showdown as David Haye takes on Tyson Fury, the general opinion is for Fury but i reckon Haye will catch him at some point and game over Fury struggled against an out of form Chisora who Haye dispatched the iron chinned Del Boy in five. The average hitter Steve Cunningham knocked Fury over and if Haye catches him one like that Fury wont get up.
After that Klitschko/Povetkin finally get it on and although Povetkin is a credible challenger and his hardest test for a while i think Klitschko will stink out the place to get a points win.
Next should be a very intetresting one as Pac-Mans last 2 opponents get it on.Against Provodnikov Bradley finally showed that when the going gets tough hes tough enough to get going but i fancy the old warhorse to have just a little bit to much for desert storm to edge out a points win.
After this is the one that has really split opinion right down the middle and the one im most looking forward to as Pacquiao and Rios go to war and it will be as those to know only one way to fight but again im picking Pacquiao to have just to much experience to gain a points win again.
On the subject of David Price after the two losses to Tony Thompson its easy enough to write him off whereas i think it was admirable that Price was prepared to take on such a seasoned pro,its easy to forget that Thompson has only ever lost to top notch fighters so Price should get back on the horse take a few easy fights to regain his confidence then see as he feels after that.
For quite a while now we have been screaming about Golovkin so its good to see him getting the recognition he is due after he dismantled the tough durable Macklin in 3,any talk of Golovkin being one of Mayweathers future opponents is a waste of time catchweight or not Mayweather is not going to want any part of the hardhitting Golovkin,
Mattyshe may be a future one for Floyd to look at but again its a risky fight for Floyd.
