Next weekend sees possibly the most intriguing of the Super six fights as Carl Froch takes on Glen Johnson, its interesting to see as The Roadwarrior may possibly be able to turn back the clock one last time,on this one we are going to go for Froch for decision win as cant see him stopping Johnson. As usual keep an eye out on home page and competition page on the website. Finally took a day off to sit down and catch up with all the big fights, firstly many thanks to Sonia at www.boxing123.com for getting me a of the Jones Jnr vS Lebedev fight, there site is coming along nicely and well worth a visit. It was interesting to see how the paths of Jones Jnr and Bernard Hopkins have come along for those of us old enough to remeber Jones Jnr handed Hopkins a boxing lesson back in 93 the rematch didnt really prove anything as way to long had passed for it to be meaningful and to be blunt the rematch was crap anyway. Its fair to say Jones Jnr should hang up the gloves now and if he wont take his licence away as for B-Hop he put on a masterclass to become the oldest champ in history in doing so he also put out one of those moments in boxing that will be shown in years to come when in between rounds he dropped down and did a brief set of push ups with the panting Pascal looking on.Also finally got to watch the Groves/DeGale fight more closely and it was one of those fights that could have gone either way without complaint or even a draw, hopefully DeGale will sit down and watch the fight again and realise he just gave away to many early rounds he didnt need to.Please remeber to visit the site as we will be posting details of the Froch competition on Sunday 29th. |
